Wanting to read more books, Kayla and Hayley began the Strange and Unusual Book club as a monthly livestream on YouTube in 2022. Kayla brings her love and knowledge of fantasy and science fiction, and Hayley her obsession with horror. They live in Wenatchee, WA.

Kayla is an accountant. She loves spreadsheets and is an Excel wizard. She is currently working towards her BS in Accounting. When she is not crunching the numbers, she is running The Time Capsule, the coolest retro toy store in the Pacific Northwest, with her husband, Doug IV.
Hayley
Hayley
Hayley hosts the YouTube channel Gory B Movie and co-hosts Horror Addicts with her husband, Danny Knightmare. She is also a yearly panelist at Seattle Crypticon. Hayley holds a BA in English Literature and enjoys deep diving into film and literary analysis. She also loves spiders and is the caretaker of club mascot Pipkin.

As Ray Bradbury wrote in The Halloween Tree, Pipkin is God's favorite boy and he loves Halloween the most. He is a Mexican Red Rump tarantula born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He enjoys sitting and eating.
